The City of Lawton is excited to announce the return of its Citizens’ Academy.

The free 14-week course will focus on educating residents, business owners, and interested persons of Lawton on how daily city government operations contribute to building a better community.

The Citizens Academy will occur from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Thursday beginning July 27, 2023, through October 26, 2023. Unless otherwise noted or communicated, all classes will take place at Lawton City Hall, located at 212 SW 9th Street.

Applications can be found here and are due no later than July 10, 2023. Applications can be returned by email to publicaffairs@lawtonok.gov or by physical mail or in person to the City of Lawton City Manager’s Office at 212 SW Ninth Street, Lawton, Oklahoma 73501. Physical mail will need to be made attention to Communications and Marketing.
