Dr. Stefan Wilhelm, Dr. Rebecca Scott, Professor Qinggong Tang, and his lab assistant Chang partnered with the CKTC Biomedical Science program to bring students unique lab opportunities as part of the BE4NANO Program. BE4NANO is a program that exposes our students to Bionanotechnology and other Engineering opportunities in an effort to encourage students to pursue careers at the Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. This program also offers students access to a Summer Research Camp and support networks for students when they are students at the University of Oklahoma. Today, you will see our students participating in demonstrations of Bio-imaging and synthesizing gold nanoparticles in solution.

Dr. Rebecca Scott from the Stephenson School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma dropped by to help lead CKTC Pre-Engineering students through some engineering design challenges that included building a prosthetic arm and designing a tool to remove foreign objects from toddlers’ ear canals. She also provided our students with some information about her program at OU.
