Cameron’s Caylen Goff-Brown was honored Wednesday night as the Lone Star Conference announced their end-of-the-year honors at the LSC Championship Banquet.

Before the start of the quarterfinals of the LSC Championship Tournament on Thursday, the LSC recognized deserving men’s basketball student-athletes as the All-Conference and All-Academic teams and special awards were handed out.

Goff-Brown, a freshman out of Tulsa, Okla., was second on the team with 11.4 points per game, ranking as a top-30 scorer in the LSC. He also averaged 2.3 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists, and 0.4 steals for the Black-and-Gold this season. Goff-Brown would tie for the season-high points scored in a game for CU this season with 27 points. He had 27 points against St. Mary’s on Dec. 10, during which he shot 6-for-14 from the field, and 4-for-10 from three, while making 11-of-13 free throws.

As for the individual awards, West Texas dominated, taking home the Player of the Year (Julius Bown), Newcomer of the Year (Damion Thornton), Sixth Man of the Year (Zach Toussaint), and had Co-Coach of the Year (Tom Brown). St. Edward’s Season Elkinton was selected as the Freshman of the Year, and Angelo State’s Head Coach Vinay Patel was named Co-Coach of the Year.
