East Central Oklahoma University Lawson Earns GAC Setter of the Week

The Great American Conference announced the ninth Volleyball Player of the Week awards for the 2022 season. East Central University volleyball player Leah Lawson has been named the Great American Conference Setter of the Week for Oct. 24.
 
Lawson collected her second GAC Setter of the Week accolade of the season as she averaged 11.89 assists and 3.11 digs per set in the sweeps against Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Southern Nazarene University, and Midwestern State University.
 
She notched 32 assists against the Savage Storm, 38 against the Crimson Storm, and 37 against the Mustangs. After earning 107 assists on the week, Lawson surpassed the 1,000 career assists mark with a new total of 1,013 assists.
 
This season, the Arlington, TX native ranks fifth in assists in the GAC (7.89).
