GIS Analyst Kristi Shannon received third place of the Map Gallery Contest at the 33rd South Central Arc User Group (SCAUG) Conference on April 20-21 in Frisco, Texas. She represented the City of Lawton GIS Division with her Lake Lawtonka Angler Mapping Project.
The intent of the map project is to showcase the bathymetry of the lake, sonar images, and to inform the public on fish species and potential habitats. She spent numerous hours working with the Lawton Police Department Lake Patrol in collecting and analyzing the data to create this project.
