Stephanie Bice, serving Oklahoma’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, actively shares her viewpoints and initiatives via social media. Representing Oklahoma since 2021, Bice has continued to address various issues including parental leave, crime, and government innovation through her online platforms.
On May 1, 2025, she expressed concerns for working parents stating, “As a mother, I recognize the challenges and the importance of uplifting working parents so that they do not have to choose between caring for a newborn and a paycheck. @rephoulahan and I introduced the More Paid Leave for More Americans Act to empower states to create their own”. The act aims to provide states the flexibility to enhance paid leave options for their citizens.
In another statement on the same day, Bice criticized the current administration’s handling of crime syndicates, tweeting, “Under Biden, cartels transformed into multi-billion-dollar international crime syndicates. @SecScottBessent and @POTUS are working to make America safe again.” This reflects her focus on national security concerns and the administration’s efforts to address them.
Later, Bice addressed governmental barriers to innovation, stating, “Now is not the time for America to falter. We are not losing our edge because we are unwilling to innovate; we are losing our edge because the government and its bureaucracy keep getting in our way. Read more from an op-ed I published in @TheNatlInterest with my fellow”. This opinion piece suggests systemic government issues hindering innovation in the country.
Stephanie Bice, born in Oklahoma City, has been serving since she replaced Kendra Horn. She holds a BS from Oklahoma State University and previously served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2014 to 2020.
