Western Oklahoma State College enrolls 1,278 undergrads

At Western Oklahoma State College, 71 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in Altus enrolled 1,278 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 10.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

81 percent of undergraduates are residents of Oklahoma, and 14 percent are residents of other states. 5 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (55 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (21 percent).
