The Aggies men's basketball team is set to host the Greyhounds from Eastern New Mexico on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7:30 pm, before closing this homestand with the Mustangs from Western New Mexico on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 3:00 pm.
STARTING 5:
1. The Aggies suffered a 102-80 loss to West Texas A&M to start the new year. DeSean Munson would lead Cameron in scoring with 21 points, and Caylen Goff-Brown and Colt Savage joined him in double figures with 15 and 11 points.
2. The Black-and-Gold has three averaging double-figures, led by DeSean Munson (12.3 ppg), Caylan Goff-Brown (10.0 ppg), and Reggie Prudhomme (10.0 ppg). Cameron shoots 46.5 percent from the floor, the sixth-best in the LSC and ranks fifth in the conference by shooting 34.9 percent from three.
3. ENMU scores the fifth-most points per game in the LSC at 74.7. They shoot 46.8 percent from the floor, ranking fifth in the conference and are fourth in the LSC in three-point percentage, shooting 35.7 percent. Eastern has three players averaging double-figures Eze Dike (13.7 ppg), Errol White (11.4 ppg), and Jahcoree Ealy (10.9 ppg).
4. Western scores 69.8 ppg while surrendering 68.6 ppg. The Mustangs shot 44.9 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from the three-point range. Leading WMNU in scoring is Keith Littles (10.7 ppg).

SCOUTING THE AGGIES:
Cameron fell to 2-11, 0-7 LSC, 0-3 DIV., after dropping a 102-80 game to West Texas A&M on Sunday. They are averaging 71.4 points per game while shooting 46.5 percent from the floor, the sixth-best in the LSC and rank fifth in the conference shooting 34.9 percent from three. They also grab the second most defensive rebounds a game, 26.8. Defensively, the Aggies are giving up 79.8 points to their opposition while allowing teams to shoot 43.8 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from three. Cameron has three averaging double-figures, led by DeSean Munson (12.3 ppg), Caylen Goff-Brown (10.0 ppg), and Reggie Prudhomme (10.0 ppg).
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS:
ENMU comes into the matchup at 9-3, 4-2 LSC, 1-1 DIV., on a four-game winning streak after wins over UTPB and Angelo State last week. The Greyhounds won 80-70 over ASU leadings coast to coast, led by Greg Johnson, who scored 20 points, Eze Dike added 18 points, and Jahcoree Ealy scored 15. ENMU held Angelo State to just 25-of-69 (36.2 percent) from the floor. The Greyhounds finished with seven blocks. They score 74.7 points per game and allow 67.7 ppg. Eastern has three players averaging double-figures Dike (13.7 ppg), Errol White (11.4 ppg), and Ealy (10.9 ppg).
LAST TIME AGAINST ENMU:
The last meeting saw a second-half surge lead Eastern New Mexico over Cameron 92-71. Cameron ended the night shooting just under 40 percent from the floor after their 29 percent shooting second half. They were just 5-22 from three and 16-24 from the foul line. CU was able to win the rebounding battle by three boards, 38-35, but turned it over three more times than their opponent. Eastern New Mexico matched their season-high shooting percentage, making 30 field goals at a 53.6 percent clip. They also went 13-31 from three and 19-27 from the charity stripe. Jose Serrano led the way with 20 points on 5-7 shooting from the floor and a perfect 7-7 from the foul line.
SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS:
The Mustangs moved to 8-4, 2-4 LSC, 1-1 DIV., after splitting the two games this past weekend, dropping a game to Angelo State and beating UTPB. Isaiah Lewis blocked the final shot by the Falcons to secure the 69-68 win over UTPB. Joshuwan Johnson led the Mustangs in scoring with 15 points, Ian Hohenstein would add 13 points on 6-7 from the field, and Tony Avalos scored 12 points, including 5-5 from the charity stripe. WNMU shot 45 percent from the field and 26 percent from three while holding the Rams to 38 percent for the game and 30 percent from behind the three-point line.
LAST TIME AGAINST WNMU:
In the last meeting, the Aggie men's basketball team went cold in the second half in their 69-56 loss to Western New Mexico. Cameron shot 36.5 percent from the field in the game, going 7-24 from three and 11-22 from the foul line. They out-rebounded the home team by three boards but turned the ball over 17 times, resulting in 22 points for their opposition. Kenyon Holcombe recorded his first double-double of the season, leading the Aggies with 11 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three blocks. Joshuwon Johnson led WNMU with 16 points, while Olamide Pedersen added 14 points, 10 rebounds, and three rejections.

The Aggies will travel to Odessa, Texas, to face UT Permian Basin on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7:30 pm. before facing Angelo State on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 3:00 pm.
