Cameron continues to be difficult inside the Aggie Gym, moving to 6-1 at home this season with a 61-52 win over Oklahoma Christian on Thursday evening.

The Aggies move to 9-9 overall, 6-6 in the Lone Star Conference, and 3-4 in the West Division.

Katie King was the leading scorer for CU for the third straight game, with 17 points., She has now been the top scorer for the Black-and-Gold in seven games this season.

Korie Allensworth scored 13 points, Kiara Lovings recorded 10, Kailyn Lay chipped in six, Alannah Gillespie and Mikayla Peterson added five points, Karley Miller and Alena Wilson had two, and LaKya Leslie scored one point.

Wilson grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, Lay pulled in six, Allensworth snagged five, King collected four, Leslie, Lovings, and Peterson added two, and Gillespie and Lindsey Waits grabbed one rebound.

Lay dished out six assists, Gillespie had three, and King, Lovings, and Wilson added one.

King swiped three steals, and Kloe Heidebrecht, Lay, and Lovings grabbed one.

Lay swatted one shot.

OC opened the game with two early baskets holding a 5-0 lead two minutes into the game and would go on to build a 12-4 advantage. The Black-and-Gold would close the quarter with a 7-5 run to finish the frame trailing the Lady Eagles 17-11.

On Thursday, Cameron used a huge second quarter to take down the Lady Eagles. The Aggies erupted with 24 points while holding OC to nine points to build a nine-point lead at the half. In the frame, CU would make 7-of-13 shots from the floor, 4-of-8 three-pointers, and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Oklahoma Christian was held to 3-of-14 from the floor and 0-for-5 deep. King would have a perfect shooting quarter, going 3-for-3 from the floor, 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, and 2-for-2 at the free throw line to score 10 points.

Cameron would add to their lead in the third quarter, after holding OC to two baskets during the frame, with six of the 11 points scored in the quarter coming from the charity stripe. Six different Aggies would make a single shot leading to the Black-and-Gold scoring 17 points. The punctuation was a Lovings three-ball right at the end of the quarter to give CU a 52-37 lead.

The fourth quarter was the lowest scoring frame of the game, with OC cutting the game to a two-possession game at 56-51. Cameron would close the game with a 5-1 run.

The Aggies shot 38.2 percent from the field, making 21-of-55 shots, shooting 7-for-16 three-pointers for 43.8 percent, and hitting 12-of-15 free throws. The Lady Eagles made 15-of-48 shots from the floor, shooting 4-of-19 from deep for 21.1 percent and 18-of-25 at the charity stripe. Cameron outrebounded OC by one, at 36-35, forcing 19 turnovers, scoring 13 points off those, while allowing 7 points off 16 turnovers.
