Cameron continues to build momentum, trading in their 13-game losing streak for a two-game winning streak after knocking off Arkansas Fort Smith in the Aggie Gym on Thursday.

A trio of Aggies notched over 15 points, the Black-and-Gold nailed 11 triples, and CU made over half their shots against the Lion's defense on Saturday in a dominating win over Fort Smith. Despite the leading scorer in the conference, Payton Brown, busting loose for 34 points to help the Lion's offense UAFS did not see another player crack ten points on the stifling Aggie defense, which held the opposition to just 45 percent from the floor, 37 percent from distance, and forced six turnovers.

Andre Washington continued his semester of dominance with 16 points on seventy percent shooting, a team-high seven rebounds, two assists, a block, and a charge drawn. Washington kept his streak alive with another slam in the final five minutes of this contest to put the exclamation point on the Black-and-Gold win.

Jaylen Thomas poured in a team-high 22 points, which featured four made threes on eight attempts, six rebounds, and two assists. Goff-Brown chipped in 21 points with a team-high five made three-pointers and six rebounds. Thomas and Goff-Brown each provided the CU offense a spark with their difficult shot-making that ended any scoring lulls the Aggies offense found themselves in, leading to a 12-point victory.

It was not just about the scoring; Reggie Prudhomme can take some credit for how well the Aggies stroked it from the floor with his beyond-the-back dimes and nine assists, creating quality looks all over the floor.

Cameron used a 10-for-10 shooting from the floor and 6-of-6 from beyond the arc to open the second half, to build an early 14-point lead in the opening third of the second half. The Aggies would shoot 69.6 percent from the floor and 77.8 percent from three in the closing half, leading to the double-digit victory.

Kevin O'Connor stakes claim to his second Lone Star Conference win in his career, second winning streak of the season, in a collective effort. Every Aggie to play more than five minutes in this contest found themselves on the scoreboard as CU turned in 84 points.

The Aggies have found their footing this season after facing a ton of adversity and remaining short-handed, now a big test lies ahead this week in the Aggie Gym as the Black and Gold welcome in West Texas A&M and Angelo State to Lawton, Oklahoma, on Thursday and Saturday respectively.
