Following a fairly low-scoring first half, the Murray State Aggies erupted in the second half to pull away for a 68-47 win over Redlands Community College Monday night to snap a nine-game losing skid.

The Aggies were on top 27-21 at intermission before exploding for 41 second half points fueled by 10 from hometown product Jackson Lawley as they improved to 7-13 overall while notching their first conference triumph.

"I was proud of our defense in the first half and then our offense really picked it up in the second half," said Aggie head coach Josh Davis. "We got back to the basics and playing the right way tonight."

The normally three-point heavy Murray State attack managed just five long distance makes while spending more time in attack mode at the basket for one of their best shooting performances of the season.

Sophomore Cordrayius Graham was the catalyst with a season-high 13 points as Lawley also posted double digits with 10. A.J. Richard tossed in nine, K.J. Boone and Stanley Harley had seven each, Freddie Cooper and Kameron Johnson contributed six each, Kyle Tolbert scored five with Tarrance Austin and Ridley Shema both adding two points.

Murray State will have a week off before traveling to NOC-Tonkawa to wrap up the first half of league action.
