The Cameron Aggies fall to the Western New Mexico Mustangs 73-57 as the offense never found a rhythm.
The Aggies sit at 4-18, now losers of three straight and still in search of that elusive second road win as they make the long trek out to New Mexico to take on the WNMU Mustangs in the longest trip that the Lone Star Conference has to offer.
CU saw DeSean Munson pour in 10 points on 3-of-3 shooting from the floor and representing the lone black-and-gold member in the double figures club. Jaylan Thomas was close, notching nine points, three steals, six rebounds, and an assist, but he did most of his damage by absorbing contact and getting to the line with his size and athleticism.
Reggie Prudhomme had seven points, swiped two steals, and soared in for a team-high seven rebounds while dropping three dimes in 37 minutes.
Cameron struggled to put the ball in the hoop shooting a disappointing 30 percent from the floor and went a jarring 3-of-25 from beyond the arc. However, CU did cash in on more of their free throw chances than the Mustangs, cashing in Free Throws at an impressive 80 percent clip in this one compared to WNMU's 50 percent.
This game saw just three lead changes and as many ties, but the Mustangs controlled the lead for 80 percent of the contest.
