4.3% of Kiowa County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Kiowa County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 160 people out of the 8,518 living in Kiowa County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Kiowa County has increased compared to the 3.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Kiowa County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 3,560 people who had a job during that time, 12 were employed in the Armed Forces and 3,548 belonged to the civilian labor force.
