Willow Park Health Care Center held its position as the top nursing home by size in Comanche County during the first quarter of 2026, data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) shows.
The facility provided 151 beds, which was 28 more than the county’s average for the same period. Over the quarter, it served an average of 78.7 residents each day.
CMS rated Willow Park Health Care Center 1 out of 5 overall, a figure below the state’s nursing home average of 2.7 in Oklahoma.
Mcmahon-Tomlinson Nursing Center was the county’s second largest, offering 142 beds, while Montevista Rehabilitation and Skilled Care was third, supplying 105 beds.
By the end of the first quarter of 2026, Willow Park Health Care Center had incurred $58,171 in total from two fines and had received two penalties.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates indicate that the nation’s older adult population is rising while younger demographics are shrinking. From 2020 to 2024, Americans age 65 and older increased by 13%, and the population of those under 18 declined by 1.7%. The population of older adults in the country has grown substantially over the past century, moving from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million by 2024.
Research from 2021 reports that nearly half of adults age 65 and older—about 28 million people—may need long-term services and support. The same study projects over one-third of this population could eventually require nursing home care.
“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education organization. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
